Rev. Bill Sitterley

Rev. Sitterley (who goes by “Bill”) is a native of Bethlehem, PA, and received his BA from Columbia University with a major in Religion. He attended Fuller Theological Seminary, while doing college ministry at The Hollywood Presbyterian Church. After that he served as an Associate Pastor at a PC(USA) church in suburban Cincinnati.
He took an extended break from parish ministry to serve with Habitat for Humanity Asia-Pacific. He did rural development work in Papua New Guinea for a few years, and then relocated to New Zealand to be their first Pacific Regional Director. Later he moved again to Thailand to help develop the work throughout Asia and The Pacific. He traveled extensively in those years, during which time he met and married his wife, Noi,who was a professor at Payap University in Chiang Mai.
After nearly ten years with Habitat, he felt called to return to the US and return to parish ministry. For over thirteen years he served as pastor of a church in suburban Baltimore. He then felt attracted to transitional ministry, and was tremendously fulfilled by serving as an interim in Presbyterian churches in suburban Baltimore, MD and Shepherdstown, WV.
Bill began serving as Oak Pointe’s Transitional Minister in April 2020. He currently resides in Venice, FL.
